Louis and Louise Nippert established the L & L Nippert Charitable Foundation in 1981 in order to provide support for charitable activities deemed worthy of financial assistance by the Trustees. To remain true to the mission, the Foundation concentrates its grants on areas that Mr. and Mrs. Nippert have supported in the past, including but not limited to local cultural arts, education, environment and health. The Founders have been very generous philanthropists who prefer anonymous contributions because Mrs. Nippert believes that the goal of philanthropy is not social recognition but the knowledge that one has contributed to a needed charitable activity. The Nipperts have always supported charitable activities in the Greater Cincinnati area. Mr. Nippert was very dedicated to medical research, the environment, agriculture and education. Mrs. Nippert is known for her love of and interest in the arts, particularly the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the Cincinnati Opera.
